The Alexander Valley AVA, located in Sonoma County, is world renown for it’s soils and this is an excellent showcase of the time and place it represents.
There's an intriguingly angular funk to the nose of this bottling, which mixes up aromas of forest floor, mushroom, moss, and pine with crunchy cranberry.
tercero wines is the brainchild of Larry Schaffer, owner and winemaker, who began the brand shortly after graduating with his Masters Degree in Viticulture and Enology from UC Davis.

The 1772 Chardonnay is Tolosa’s classic Chardonnay, as it captures the essence of our estate vineyard, Edna Ranch. In 2018, the fall weather was mild yet consistent, which allowed us to take our time harvesting the grapes to make sure they were picked at preferred ripeness. This vintage was showing an attractive acidity, so we cut back on new oak to harmonize all components of the Chardonnay.

Cabernet Sauvignon is legendary in the Santa Cruz Mountains, The Montebello Ridge is home to some of the most sought after vines in all of the new world, and the ridges planted by Paul Masson in the early 1900s produced California's first cult wines.
This exceptional Chardonnay has a nose of pear and baked apple notes followed by citrus scents of honeyed lemon with a freshness minerality underlining the wine’s acidity.
