FROM THE WINERY:

Tasting Notes

An exciting fireworks display of bubbles on the palate complements the lovely balance of citrus and brioche. Aromas of tangerine skin, citrus blossom and under-ripe peach lift from out of the glass. Pair this tangy, playful wine with fresh seafood dishes such as
oysters mignonette or trout meunière.

Winemaker Notes

Pinot Blanc grape is a white wine grape that is a point genetic mutation of Pinot Noir. Pinot Noir is genetically unstable and will occasionally experience a point mutation in which a vine bears all black fruit except for one cane which produced white fruit. We include this grape in our portfolio because it fits with our love of working with Pinot Noir. Also, the vibrant fresh fruit flavors and refreshing acidity of Pinot Blanc make it a perfect grape for sparkling wine.

Vineyard Notes

Our 2016 Crémant is made from the peppy Pinot Blanc clone 159 from Sierra Madre Vineyard in the Santa Maria Valley AVA. From a winemaking standpoint, Pinot Blanc from Santa Maria Valley produces elegant fruit
forward still wines and we decided to try it in a sparkler. This is our seventh vintage of
Crémant and we have noticed consistency in the vineyard each year.

Food Pairing

Pair this tangy, playful wine with fresh seafood dishes such as oysters mignonette or trout meunière. This fresh and zesty sparkler pairs nicely with Eggs Florentine and lemon curd crepes. Perfect for your afternoon yacht trip around Catalina Island or brunch in the vineyard.
