Winery Tasting Notes: Our 2018 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon opens with notes of blueberry and cassis, supplemented by a glimmer of vanilla and cedar. The dark fruit notes that greet the nose progress into lingering aromas of sage and cedarwood. This wine is rich in flavor, with notes of ripe blackberry, black currant, and plum, along with a whisper of cocoa. Dense and concentrated, the mid-weight palate is velvety and nuanced, with a decadent, well-rounded mouthfeel. The finish is firm and luxurious and leaves you ready for an immediate second sip.

The grapes used for this wine come from the south-facing hillside just behind our winery. When we harvested for this vintage, the grapes were big and juicy with thick skins, lending this Cabernet Sauvignon immense flavor and a beautiful tannic structure. The focused flavors and bright acid perfectly balance with the elegant tannins, producing a full-bodied yet refined wine. Our Estate Cabernet Sauvignon continues to enchant us with its ability to gracefully age in bottle; this 2018 vintage is luscious already at such a young age and will continue to unfold its layers and develop complexities over the years to come.
