Palate:  Dark and jellied, with raspberry and vanilla flavors accompanied by zesty acidity.

The 2021 Mourvedre Rose is here and ready for its spotlight! This is the lightest colored Mourvedre Rose I've produced to date, but it is not lighter in terms of aromatics or flavors or texture.

The grapes for this rose were picked early in the morning on a very cool day and were delivered to the winery early. As I began foot stomping them, I realized that my feet would 'freeze' if I kept them in too long. I tried rubber boots for stomping but they did not work. I ended up stomping some of the bins and not stomping others, dumping everything together and then going from there.

This is still my classic Mourvedre Rose - soaring earthy tropical fruit aromatic notes, wonderful texture and enough body to stand up to lots of different foods. Enjoy now or over the next few years - seriously.
